It started with fifty hotels and no software at all.
Before AI Otel was a platform, it was two years of hands-on revenue and distribution work across more than fifty hotels in Türkiye, the GCC, and Europe: market research, OTA strategy, dynamic pricing, contract negotiation, onboarding. Done by hand, hotel by hotel.

What those two years taught us

The margin leaves first
Foreign platforms take around 20% of every booking, and worse, they own the guest relationship and the data. A platform can sell a room below the hotel’s own net price just to win the customer for itself.
The team never arrives
Of Türkiye’s 50,000+ lodging facilities, most are under 50 rooms. The revenue manager, OTA specialist, marketer, and ads budget a hotel needs to compete online are a payroll it will never afford.
The agencies are squeezed
Local agencies know the destination better than anyone, but they cannot match the traffic, data, and pricing power of global platforms, so they lose bookings they should win.
The locals stay invisible
Restaurants, tours, transfers, wellness, museums: the businesses that make the trip worth taking cannot reach travelers at the right moment without paying foreign aggregators heavily for access.
Why now
The category is being defined right now.
No AI-native, agent-readable hotel platform exists in production anywhere yet. The largest hospitality-software funding round in history closed in January 2026, raised explicitly to build AI agents that run hotel operations. The race has started.
Türkiye has a closing window to own its own platform rather than depend on a foreign one. That is the company we built, and why we built it here.
